The present work aims to develop a proposal to improve the process of acquiring essential medicines and medical devices through the modality of contracts less than or equal to 8 UIT from an IPRESS Publica, with the aim of reducing the time that the current process takes, and acquiring . in a timely manner the medications and medical devices necessary to restore the health of the patients of this hospital. This process is carried out by the Department of Pharmacy, Executive Office of Administration, Executive Office of Strategic Planning and Logistics Office. Likewise, this work of professional proficiency is developed based on my work experience in the Programming and Storage Management Unit of Pharmaceutical Producers and Medical Materials of the Pharmacy Department of the HNCH, in which delays were evident in the appropriate acquisition process of MED. . and DM for the treatment of HNCH patients, resulting in patients affiliated with the SIS not being able to receive in a timely and complete manner the necessary medical devices and medications prescribed by their treating physician. For this reason, a flow diagram of the current process was proposed and; The database of the Department of Pharmacy and Comprehensive Administrative Management System of the HNCH was evaluated to account for the times involved in the current process, and identify the critical stages of the process; Likewise, a flow diagram of the optimized process was prepared that impacts the time this simplified process takes. Obtaining as a result that the optimized flow could reduce the current average acquisition time of MED and DM by up to 50% due to the modality of contracts less than or equal to 8 UIT.
