COVID-19 has affected many populations at risk, being an important group of cancer patients. These patients present features that increase the probability to develop severe disease of COVID-19, how it is the type of cancer, the comorbidities, the use of anticancer treatment and the immune dysregulation. Objectives: Describe the epidemiology and clinical characteristics of cancer patients with COVID-19 in a third-level hospital in Lima, Peru during 2020 - 2021 Materials and Methods: Observational study, descriptive model. Medical records of cancer patients with COVID-19 were reviewed. The variables collected included demographic data, cancer characteristics, clinical characteristics of SARS-CoV-2 infection and clinical outcomes. Results: Among oncological patients infected with COVID-19 (N=58), breast cancer (21%) and colorectal cancer (19%) were the most common. 34% had clinical stage III, while 67% were metastasis-free. 62% received oncological treatment, mainly chemotherapy (44%). 59% were symptomatic, commonly presenting cough, general discomfort, and fever. Mortality rate was 9%, mainly in patients over 60 years old with severe clinical involvement. Conclusion: The main risk factors in this population were advanced age and arterial hypertension. Mortality was lower than in other studies.
