The aim of this research was to identify the relationship between emotional intelligence and the dimensions of academic procrastination in university students of a university in Metropolitan Lima in the context of semi-face and virtual education. The institution where the database was collected taught the face-to-face modality, but due to the restrictions of the pandemic migrated to virtuality until last year and this year continued with the semi-face modality. Therefore, in March of this year, 95 students who studied in the semi-face and virtual modality due to restrictions due to the pandemic were evaluated through the instruments Trait Meta-Mood Scale 24 (TMMS-24) and Academic Procrastination Scale (EPA). The methodology was quantitative-transactional-correlational, since the correlation between the variables of the study was analyzed. The study allows to explore some educational challenges in the university population that persist despite the end of the pandemic and, based on this, the decision-making according to the prevention of its consequences such as stress, frustration and, in the worst case, the university dropout.
