The academic training of dental students has clinical practice as a fundamental component; according to the contemporary teaching model, there is an interrelation between the areas of knowledge of the basic sciences and the clinic. Advances in 3D printing machinery have allowed the feasibility of using artificial teeth for the education of future dentists based on radiographic and tomographic data. In Peru, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, SUNEDU modified article 47 of the University Law, which regulated the characteristics of distance education in the university system. Due to this context, the Faculty of Stomatology of the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia saw as a solution to ensure the continuity of teaching and maintain the quality of learning, the use of models with artificial teeth through a project with which students could virtually develop dental procedures in a standardized model with characteristics similar to those of a real patient. The presence of root canals in the artificial teeth is intended to allow students to perform endodontic treatment in a standardized and safe manner, thus developing their manual dexterity. The models play an important role due to their sensory and visual resemblance to natural teeth. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the quality of the endodontic treatments carried out on models of artificial teeth of the 4th year students of the Faculty of Stomatology of the Peruvian University Cayetano Heredia period 2020- 2021.
