The coexistence between humans and dogs has become popular worldwide, and this close relationship makes it essential to protect them against ectoparasites, such as fleas and ticks, which can become vectors of diseases, many of them zoonotic. Veterinary product laboratories are constantly developing ectoparasiticidal products to combat this threat. Some of the products currently available on the market include spot-on application products and orally administered tablets. Therefore, the aim of this study was to describe the importation of ectoparasiticidal products for combating fleas and ticks in dogs, in the form of spot-on pipettes and oral tablets, to Peru during the years 2019 to 2021. Data were collected through the Veritrade program on imports to Peru declared by year. The data obtained was analyzed using the descriptive statistics method. In conclusion, the ectoparasiticide market maintains an even growth, when comparing 2019 vs 2021 there is a 40% increase for both presentations.
