The aim of this thesis has been to know the relationship between perceived organizational support and enthusiasm for work among teachers at a university in Metropolitan Lima. The Perceived Organizational Support Scale developed by Eisenberger, Huntchison and Sowa (1986) was used, in a 16 – item version, and the Enthusiasm Scale, the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES), created by Schaufeli et al (2001) in its 15 -item version. The sample was made up of a group of 50 teachers of both sexes, between 29 and 70 years of age, who work at a university in Metropolitan Lima. The results were analyzed considering personal factors (age, sex, marital status, and academic degree), and work characteristics (hour dedication and time teaching). In general, a low correlation (,1692) was found between the study variables; however, when considering the analysis of the work factor Time in Teaching, we found results of correlations that draw attention, which form an inverse U, which has been found in previous studies with different population groups, in which a high correlation is found (,7754) in those with an income of less than 1 year, which decrease in the following periods (,0286), (-,1147), (-,4706) until showing an increase in teachers with 11 years or more teaching (,4669) y (,400). These results generated interest in further analysis.
