Resilience is a factor for coping with personal and work difficulties that often trigger stress and not precisely the beneficial one. The objective pursued for the present investigation was to determine the relationship between both variables in a sample of 132 secondary school teachers from public institutions in the state. Based on a non-experimental, transactional and correlational scope design. To obtain data, the Wagnild and Young resilience scale (1993) and the ILO-WHO work stress scale (adapted by Suarez, 2013) were used. Finding a statistically significant relationship between the variables (f (3,128) =3.39, p=0.0202). Likewise, it was identified that the level of prevalence of the resilience variable is high with 98% and the predominant level of work stress is low with 59%. As a complement to the data obtained, the dimensions of the resilience variable were correlated with the work stress variable.
