The merchants of a fruit market are identified as possible sources of contagion by SARS-CoV-2, while after the appearance of several vaccines it causes a certain group to question multiple factors, generating doubts, attitudes and negative perceptions towards vaccination. There are no observational studies on the subject in indexed journals in the country. Objective: Describe the knowledge, attitudes and perceptions about COVID-19 vaccines in merchants at the wholesale fruit market No. 02 in Lima, Peru. Materials and Methods: Cross-sectional descriptive observational study that was carried out on 365 merchants in the wholesale market. A survey of Bangladesh origin was applied. For its validation, an expert judgment was carried out, the results of which validated the content, construct and criterion. Likewise, for reliability, a pilot test was carried out where Cronbach's Alpha of 0.87 was used for knowledge and attitudes 0.78. Results: The findings indicated that 88.49% of merchants had inadequate knowledge, 54.25% presented an adequate attitude and in relation to perception, 68.77% believe that the vaccine may have side effects and 67.12% believe that if all Society maintains preventive measures, COVID-19 could be eradicated without vaccination. Conclusions: Knowledge is inadequate about the COVID-19 vaccine, however, a favorable attitude prevails and perceptions have basically referred to the priorities of the State and the need for it to guarantee its free use.
