Introduction: It was identified that people living with HIV, who follow an Antiretroviral Therapy treatment, are acquiring chronic non-communicable diseases such as Diabetes and Hypertension possibly related to the protease inhibitors of the treatment. Objective: To determine the knowledge of people living with HIV between 18 and 30 years of age about the chronic non-communicable diseases Diabetes and Hypertension in the Cayetano Heredia National Hospital, in the year 2022. Materials and methods: A quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional research approach, with the participation of 239 people, 18 and 30 years of age. The technique was a survey and the instrument was two questionnaires, the data were coded and then entered into a database in Ms. Excel for statistical analysis, with the program Stata Version 17.0, in frequency distribution tables. Results: The level of knowledge of people living with HIV of the chronic noncommunicable disease hypertension was identified as medium with 54.0%, 40.2% had high knowledge, but only 5.9% had low knowledge. Diabetes, intermediate level with 56.9%, 39.7% inadequate knowledge, showing that only 3.3% presented adequate knowledge. Conclusion: The majority of people living with HIV at the Cayetano Heredia National Hospital had an intermediate level of knowledge for Diabetes and a medium level of knowledge for Hypertension.
