The general objective of the research was to determine the correlation between the dimensions of personality and Burnout Syndrome in the healthcare personnel of a hospital in the city of Cusco. A non-experimental descriptive, cross-sectional and correlational design was used, in which 104 people of both sexes, professionals and technicians, who agreed to collaborate in the research by giving their informed consent, were evaluated. The Eysenck Personality Inventory (B) and the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) were used. No positive or negative correlations were found between the dimensions of both variables; that is, there was no correlation between the neuroticism/stability dimension of the personality and the emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and self-actualization dimensions of the Burnout syndrome; neither were positive or negative correlations identified between the introversion/extraversion dimension of the personality and the emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and self-actualization dimensions of the Burnout syndrome.
