In this research, the experiences of teachers about collaborative work as a teaching strategy were addresed in the Department of Ancash, due to the prevalence of a traditional education where the student is seen as a passive entity that only grasps information provided by the teacher; where the latter must develop strategies that allow the generation can generate knowledge among peers to leave aside individualistic work. Therefore, the objective was to analyze the teaching experiences of Ancash on the collaborative work as a teaching strategy in primary school. Methodologically, it developed a basic-descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The instrument used for the collection and analysis of the information was the semi-structured interview guide and the narrative drawing, which were prepared by the researchers and validated by teachers at "Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (UPCH)". From this, it understood the teachers' experiences based on collaborative work as teaching strategy. For the development of the research, four phases were taken into account. First, the research instruments were determined and constructed to then validate the effectiveness. Second, each of the techniques and instruments was applied with the sample. Third, the information was decoded from the categories and subcategories of a descriptive research. Finally, the conclusions and recommendations were made.
