Currently, the consumption of psychotropic substances is an evil that affects society in general, but it has a greater impact on adolescence. Largely due to the fact that it is a stage of physical and mental changes, which can generate risky behaviors and cause problems in the medium and long term. This research aimed to clarify the relationship between family functioning and the resilience of drug-using patients who attend an outpatient clinic of the Health District 09D19 of Guayas-Ecuador. The research had a non-experimental, cross-sectional and descriptive correlational design, whose population and sample was 100 patients, aged between 13 and 25 years. The information collection technique was through two instruments, the first to measure family functioning (FACESIII) (70%) reliability with Cronbach's alpha index, and Resilience using the JJ63 Adolescent Resilience Measurement Instrument (86%) reliability with Cronbach's alpha index. Through the analysis of the tests carried out, it was concluded that there is a relationship between the correlation index between family functioning (Adaptability) and resilience (Slightly Resilient) of consumer patients.
