Introduction: Elastomers in orthodontics are materials that are frequently used in orthodontic treatments, they have different clinical applications, so it is essential to know them, given the circumstances, this portfolio will cover topics such as general concepts, uses, clinical implications, and review of articles that inform us. guarantee educational learning and thus contribute to the scientific community. Thematic development: This thematic development consists of 3 works: A Syllabus, Review of Stomatological Literature and Research Project. Conclusions: The syllable allows organizing and systematizing teaching topics, where the topics to be discussed are specified, guaranteeing the information and the form of evaluation to the participants. Regarding the critical analysis of literature, it allows us to observe, compare, find out and distinguish the different managements on the use of elastomeric chains in orthodontics. The research project studies the strength degradation of elastomeric chains exposed to energy drinks.
