Alcohol consumption usually begins in adolescence; since, during this period, the individual possesses certain characteristics that make him vulnerable. In recent years, it has been reported that the consumption of alcoholic beverages in adolescents is occurring at younger ages than in previous years. The interest in delaying and reducing alcohol consumption has led researchers to address the issue and many of them have pointed out that attitude is the single most important factor in the initiation of alcohol consumption. Therefore, this work seeks to know the attitudes towards alcohol consumption that adolescents have. For which, a documentary methodology is used that includes bibliographic reviews of Latin American countries from 2017 to 2022. From the review it is concluded that the most present attitudes in adolescents are social facilitator and evasive attitude, which indicates that adolescents they tend to consider alcohol as an agent that allows or facilitates social interaction and helps to avoid or face personal, family and social conflicts.
