Abstract: Antecedentes: El confinamiento causado por la pandemia COVID-19 trajo consigo consecuencias en la salud mental de los estudiantes de medicina a nivel mundial. Objetivos: Describir la frecuencia de síntomas depresivos, ansiosos y de estrés tras el retorno a la actividad académica y asistencial presencial en los estudiantes del último año de medicina de la Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia durante el segundo semestre del año 2022. Materiales y métodos: Se envió una invitación a participar de la encuesta a través de Google Forms al correo institucional de los estudiantes, donde se incluyó el consentimiento informado y cuestionario anónimo que incluye las variables y escalas de PHQ-9 (cuestionario de salud del paciente 9) para hallar la presencia de síntomas depresivos, GAD-7 (cuestionario de trastorno de ansiedad general 7) para los síntomas de ansiedad e IES-R (escala de Impacto de eventos revisada) para los síntomas de estrés. Con los resultados obtenidos, el análisis estadístico se realizó mediante STATA versión 17. Resultados: Participaron 131 estudiantes, de los cuales se obtuvo que 41.22% informaron síntomas depresivos mínimos, 47,33% leves, 9,16% moderados y 3,39% severos. Respecto a los síntomas ansiosos, 49,62% presentaron un nivel mínimo, 43,52% leve, 3,82% moderado, y 3,05% severo. En cuanto a los síntomas de estrés, 45,04% reportaron un nivel mínimo, 39,69% leve, 10.69% moderado, y 4,58% severo. Conclusiones: Más del 50% de los estudiantes que participaron en la encuesta reportaron síntomas depresivos, ansiosos y de estrés en un nivel superior al mínimo.

Objectives: To describe the frequency of depressive, anxious and stress symptoms after the return to academic and face-to-face care activity in the last year of medicine students of the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia during the second semester of 2022.
