Bolivia is the country considered most affected in all of Latin America by Chagas disease, the congenital pathway is the one that has the greatest impact in endemic and non-endemic areas due to its low importance for the diagnosis and treatment of pregnant mothers who may be able to of transmitting the disease to their children and even dying. The objective of this work was to epidemiologically describe the situation of Chagas disease in the Dr. Percy Boland Women's Hospital from a database from 2016 to 2022 in biological samples obtained from infants. The database of the samples processed by the Polymerase Chain Reaction Test (PCR), Western Blot (WB-IgM), microhematocrit (MH) and Western Blot-IgG (WB-IgG) from newborns to older infants was evaluated. of 10 months. It was concluded that the annual cumulative incidence for newborns (RN) was 21.40-70.03 per thousand people by PCR and for one-month-old infants (1M) it was 0-58.14 per thousand people by PCR; WB-IgM seroprevalence for newborns was 64.32 - 6.96% and for infants it was 6.07 - 7.02%; In addition, the group most affected by positive cases were newborns.
