Taking into consideration the high rate of fatal accidents on the roads of Latin America, a cross-sectional non-experimental correlational study was carried out with the aim of establishing whether there is a relationship between sleep quality and work stress in adult drivers of an intercity transport company of Metropolitan Lima. The population under investigation is made up of the 59 drivers of an intercity transport company with headquarters in Lima-Peru. To measure the sleep quality variable, the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index was used, and the EAE-S Socio-occupational Stress Appreciation Scale was used for the work-related stress variable. The results obtained showed a correlation of 0.11, using Spearman's Rho correlation test with a significance level of 0.38 greater than 0.05 (p > 0.05); therefore, the null hypothesis that there is no relation between sleep quality and work stress in adult drivers of an, intercity transportation company in Metropolitan Lima is accepted, and the research hypothesis is rejected. In other words, it was concluded that there is no correlation between sleep quality and work stress in adult drivers of an intercity transport company in Metropolitan Lima.
