Introduction: The Medical Internship (MI) is considered the most important year in the Medical career because it is when the knowledge acquired in the first 6 years is consolidated. Interns during 2021 had an unusual MI due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Rotations decreased in number and duration, in addition to facing the restrictions imposed due to the health emergency. Objective: To describe the perception of recent medical graduates from a university about the medical internship during the second year of the pandemic. Materials and methods: Descriptive observational study with the use of virtual surveys in graduates of the 2021 Medical career. STATA and Microsoft Excel were used for data analysis and results. Results: 156 graduates participated. More than 88% consider that they fulfill the competencies of the graduate. 39.74% do not consider having investigation skills. The mean number of learned procedures was 12 out of 21 and 44.87% were inadequately trained. Almost 70% considered the primary care useful and they plan to perform SERUMS. 70% consider that the MI did not meet their expectations. Conclusion: Although the majority of those surveyed consider fulfilling the graduate's skills, practical skills still need to be reinforced, especially in those rotating at private venues. Likewise, the high level of dissatisfaction with the IM encourages the authorities to make changes.
