Materials and Methods: An observational, descriptive, and cross-sectional study will be carried out from a secondary database, which evaluated older adults who attended the “Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment” consulting room of the Geriatrics outpatient clinic of the Cayetano Heredia Hospital in the period from July 2017 to February 2020. The Body Mass Index and the Waist Circumference were used to screen overweight and obesity. Statistical analysis: The program STATA 17 was used. The diagnosis of hypertension was present in 51.98% of older adults of which 60.36% were overweight and 56.99% were obese. 55.03% of the patients with osteoarthrosis were overweight and 61.29% of these patients were obese, as well as 18.34% and 23.66% of patients with diabetes mellitus, respectively.
