Background: According to studies conducted by the Global Burden of Disease, pneumoconiosis is one of the diseases with a prevalence of 527,500 cases worldwide, especially in workers exposed to dust. The International Labor Organization (ILO) introduced a system to standardize the recognition and recording of abnormalities that includes detailed descriptions of abnormalities and other important radiographic features to be taken into account during chest radiographic evaluation. However, in order for the ILO system to be effective, one of the points that must be met is that high quality radiographic images must be generated to allow early detection of this disease. Objective: To describe the chest radiographic quality according to the ILO radiographic report in mine workers exposed to the risk of pneumoconiosis, performed at the occupational health center "Clinical Santa Cruz" from April to June 2021. Method: Descriptive study of retrospective cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 281 chest radiographs with their respective OIT radiographic report, evaluated by 4 expert physicians with extensive experience in reading radiographs with the OIT technique. Results: The OIT chest radiographic quality was good (25.62%), acceptable (71.44%), poor quality (2.94%) and unacceptable (0.0%). Conclusions: The results show that the ILO chest radiographic quality in occupational health center "Clinica Santa Cruz is of good and acceptable quality.
