Resilience is a term that emerged in physical chemistry, its application in the social sciences took relevance in research of children and adults facing situations of stress, trauma, and risks. In that sense, the application of the performing arts to strengthen resilience is shown as a novel alternative. Likewise, in Latin America, there is increasing scientific evidence of the viability and importance of using the performing arts to strengthen resilience. However, there is no up-to-date review of research, as it is relatively new. Therefore, the development of a state of the art that critically analyzes the studies of resilience from the performing arts during the last five years, capable of favoring scientific development on the subject, is proposed. In this sense, a qualitative interpretative review, of a documentary type, was carried out using research on resilience from the performing arts in young people in Latin America between 2015 and 2020.
