The present work of professional sufficiency focuses on the psychological support to process grief in times of pandemic by COVID-19 in university students at high academic risk (enrolled for the second time in a course that has failed once before according to the Manual of Academic Activity of the Faculty where the study was conducted), addressing the impact of the grief process on academic performance, so the study's main objective was to conduct a psychological support in the process of grief in periods of pandemic that impacts university students with high academic risk. The psychological accompaniment was voluntary, 4 students participated in the careers of Biology, Chemistry and Pharmacy and Biochemistry, the intervention sessions were individual and were developed according to the needs and particularities of each student. For the collection of information, a semi-structured interview, psychological observation and an online Pre-Test and Post-Test survey were used. In the individual intervention sessions, the techniques of farewell rituals, cognitive restructuring, Jacobson's progressive relaxation, diaphragmatic breathing, guided imagination and study habits were used. The results show that through Psychological Accompaniment the students were able to process their grief and overcome their condition of high academic risk.
