Aquaculture is considered, in the last 50 years, an alternative industry that can contribute to food safety and minimize environmental impact, by optimizing water resources and spaces as well as generating sources of employment. FAO reports estimate that in the future aquaculture will be the source of protein in the family basket and will be transferred to meat production by 2030. Peru has a high aquaculture potential because it has a great biodiversity of fish, shellfish. It also has water resources such as lakes, springs and rivers. Currently it is necessary to have a vision for the future that ensures the continuous development of the aquaculture sector and to handle tools in the field of foresight that involve a comprehensive analysis. The general objective of the study is: Identify strategies for the management of innovation determined through the application of the Technology Roadmap or Technology Roadmapping (TRM, acronym in English). Using a descriptive and observational study methodology based on the consultation of thematic experts from the private, public and academic sectors. Adding the analysis of the work evaluations of technical tables and strategic plans prepared by international and national agencies. The qualitative results show the aquaculture sector as incipient in terms of STI, scarce in specialized human capital and minimal research, as well as the technological gaps and the trends for 2021 were estimated.
