BACKGROUND: To reduce the digital divide in health, it is necessary to address the problems of access and digital literacy, considered social determinants of health. Developing national policies that promote digital inclusion in health in Peru requires beginning to study the digital divide in health, as well as the specific needs of each population for access to health services. OBJECTIVES: Evaluate the association of digital access and literacy with access to health services based on the National Household Survey on Living Conditions and Poverty (ENAHO) 2019. METHODS: A secondary analysis of the Encuesta Nacional de Hogares ENAHO-2019 was carried out. The Poisson regression was used in bivariate and multivariate models considering that a complex sample was used to analyse the association between digital access and literacy with health access. RESULTS: The probability of going to health establishments was significantly higher in the population with digital literacy, especially in the elderly population, with disabilities or chronic illness. The probability of not doing so because they considered that their health problem was not serious, or they preferred to self-prescribe was also significantly higher in people with digital literacy. In contrast, access and digital literacy are not associated with access to health programs. CONCLUSIONS: Digital literacy is associated with access to health services in the Peruvian population with health problems.
