Background: During the pandemic, the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (UPCH) implemented a faculty telemedicine programme (FTP), in which patients are seen by doctors and medical students. Therefore, around 1300 patients received care; however, user satisfaction and factors associated with it are still unknown. Objectives: To determine factors associated with patient satisfaction after receiving care in a family medicine FTP offered by the UPCH between May 2021 and January 2022. Methods: Quantitative, observational, cross-sectional, analytical study. A survey evaluating general characteristics and the usability of telemedicine was socialized. The data was collected on the Excel program and analyzed with the statistical software STATA 17.0. Results: Of the 385 patients who met the inclusion criteria, 191 answered the survey, in which predominated women (76.4%), under 60 years of age (87%), with a technical/higher educational level (74.4%). An association between the perception of receiving a diagnosis and patient satisfaction was identified (p<0,05). No association was found between the sociodemographic variables and the characteristics of the teleconsultation. 69.6% of the patients were satisfied with the care received. Conclusions: This study allowed us to identify that not receiving a diagnosis is associated with less satisfaction in FTP. Most of the patients were satisfied with the care received; therefore, it represents an alternative for teaching and delivering health services that should be reinforced.
