The healthy development of the human being requires resilience to face adverse situations, mainly of children and adolescents who are victims of violence, a condition that increases their vulnerability. This study analyzes the publications that provide theoretical and practical support for resilience in the vulnerable population of children and adolescents who are victims of child abuse, from global research in the last five years, and seeks to identify models and tools to develop resilience capacity. To meet the stated objectives, a documentary research was carried out, collecting and analyzing explanatory and experimental studies of the last five years that describe and intervene in the resilience of children and adolescents who experienced violence, which were published in magazines indexed to those accessed through search engines such as ScienceDirect, PubMed and Scielo; In addition, the Mendeley bibliography manager was used to organize the information, as well as a data collection sheet to achieve this objective. As a result, the mediating role of resilience between experienced violence and symptoms of depression, anxiety and childhood trauma was identified. In addition, three theoretical models were found that explain resilience, considering an integrating model that includes resilience in its complexity, which has both internal and environmental factors that promote it. Finally, the programs and tools implemented to promote resilience, such as ARAT, CRP and SPARX-R, are presented. This study is a contribution to future research on resilience in children and adolescents.
