Background: Dental education was modified with the SARS-CoV 2 virus. There is no evidence of how distance strategies affect the areas of clinical teaching, public health, and research. Objective: To compare the attitude and assessment of Dentistry students in distance learning by COVID-19 between the areas of clinic, public health and research. Materials and methods: Cross-sectional study with 254 students. Categorical variables were analyzed with absolute frequency and relative frequency. Attitude and evaluation of distance learning were analysed through the use of ICT in a self-reported way. Comparison between two groups was with the Mann Whitney U test, for three groups or more the Kruskal Wallis test. The Friedman test and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test were performed for the areas. Measures of central tendency, dispersion and 95% confidence intervals were reported in the comparison analyses. Results: The majority were women, from a private university in their fifth year, between the ages of 18 and 23, from central Lima, with parents who had higher university studies, with good quality internet and their own laptop. Within the comparison of the attitude towards the use of ICT, significant values were reported in the 3 dental areas (p<0. 05), and the same was reported for the evaluation of the use of ICT. Conclusion: There is a difference in attitude towards ICT use in the three areas; Public Health, Clinical and Research in the same way in the assessment of ICT in learning strategies.
