The present research aimed to determine the influence of attitudes towards machismo in the upbringing of children in women and men aged 18 years and over in the departments of the Sierra. Likewise, it seeks to identify the relationship of the male dominance dimensions, domestic and social roles with the parenting variable; It also seeks to relate the variable attitudes towards machismo with the dimension of authoritarian parenting style; in the same way, it seeks to compare sexist attitudes according to sex. Material and method: survey number 2 of ENARES 2019 was used. It is quantitative, of binary logistic regression analysis and of descriptive, exploratory and correlational design. The sample consisted of 236 people from various departments of the sierra, a number selected from the database, whose ages fluctuate from 18 years to more. Results: it was obtained that attitudes towards machismo influence 49.2% in raising children. In addition, there is a strong correlation between male dominance and parenting (0.700) and a moderate correlation between domestic and social roles and parenting (0.522). Likewise, there is a strong correlation between attitudes towards machismo and the authoritarian parenting styles dimension (0.614). Regarding the comparison of macho attitudes according to sex, there is no significant difference (p = 0.387).
