The Unidad de Investigación of the Clínica Internacional (UDI) is the center that executes the clinical trials of the main world laboratories, covers different medical specialties and is made up of highly qualified professionals. The vision of the UDI is to consolidate its growth at the regional level, characterized by quality and a comprehensive approach to the patient; For this, an external and internal analysis was carried out, identifying opportunities and threats of a political, economic, social, technological and ecological nature. On the other hand, the strengths and weaknesses of the UDI were determined, which are related to aspects of quality and administrative management respectively. Faced with this situation, strategies were proposed such as greater coverage of clinical trials, which seeks to diversify the incursion of medical fields and the alliance with a greater number of laboratories, the institutional labor reform that implies changing the hiring system, promoting incentives and training looking for the continuity of highly qualified personnel, finally the implementation of quality control tools that allow to improve the data management metrics and reduce the findings related to good clinical practices. These strategies seek to enhance the critical success factors in the market in the UDI, represented by the quality of the information, reputation and experience, trained professionals, the safety of the participants, adherence to the protocol and enrollment capacity.
