Introduction: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, students received virtual classes, increasing a sedentary lifestyle, so knowing their attitude towards physical activity during these times allows clarification about the outlook of the current situation and mark a starting point for future studies that will help engage proposals that promote physical activity. Objectives: The purpose of this research was to describe the attitudes towards physical activity and sports in Medical Technology students of the University Peruana Cayetano Heredia, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Material and methods: We carried out an observational, descriptive and cross-sectional study, in which the survey “Scale of attitudes towards physical activity and sport” (E.A.F.D.) was applied to a group of 226 students. These answers and the sociodemographic data collected was analyzed with the software, Microsoft Excel 2010. For the qualitative variables, the distribution of relative and absolute frequencies was estimated; and measures of central tendency according to their distribution for the quantitative variables. Results: It was found that the neutral attitude towards PA and sports predominates in 70% of the students. In relation to the specialty, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, 37.3% was obtained in the favorable attitude. Conclusions: An influence on the neutral attitude towards physical activity was found in Medical Technology students during the COVID-19 pandemic, it is suggested to carry out more future investigations that propose interventions to improve the attitude towards PA in students and as a consequence, improve their quality of life.
