The objective of this research was to know the correlation between psychosocial factors at work and work stress in administrative workers of a Municipality of Metropolitan Lima. The methodology used was basic level, non-experimental, with a descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional design. The sample was made up of 132 male and female employees, from various areas, who had different contract modalities. The instruments used were the “Psychosocial Factors at Work” questionnaire and the “ILO-WHO Work Stress Scale”. It was concluded that there is a moderate correlation between psychosocial factors at work and work stress, the correlation coefficient being r = 0.57. Likewise, moderate correlations were obtained between work stress with the dimensions of workplace conditions (r = 0.40); content and characteristic of the task (r = 0.53); labor role and career development (r = 0.49); social interaction and organizational aspects (r = 0.58). However, low correlations were found between work stress with the dimensions of workload (r = 0.27), work demands (r = 0.23) and performance remuneration (r = 0.10). On the other hand, it was obtained that 65.9% of the administrative collaborators presented a medium risk level of exposure to psychosocial factors and 39.4% presented a high level of work stress.
