Tuberculosis (TB) is an ancient, preventable and curable disease, yet it remains a public health problem and challenge. A decline in the number of cases of BK-positive pulmonary tuberculosis has been reported globally and nationally. Objective: To determine the trend and projection of TB cases in a first-level care facility 1991-2012 Material and Methods: A descriptive time series study at the Mirones Health Center's ES-TBC from 1991 to 2012. Results: A total of 1,463 cases were admitted during the study period. The highest frequency of cases was presented in the first trimester of the year, the male was (59.1%), the young (18-29 years) was 41.5%, 84.4% of the cases were new, 82.1% with pulmonary location, 68.3% of the patients showed a positive laboratory test to the Koch bacillus. The most frequently treatment was 2RHZE / 4R2H2 in 80.3%. The pathologies associated with tuberculosis were: HIV 4.2% and drug dependence 0.6%, diabetes 0.4 %. A 82.4% of the discharges were cured. Since 1997 there is a downward trend, an ARIMA(2,0,0) model was established to predict future cases. the ARIMAX(2,0,0) model showed that the decrease in the number of cases will be explained by the average age and no history of tuberculosis at ES-PCT admission. Conclusions: The trend of tuberculosis cases is downward and does not have a seasonality.
