The purpose of the research was to analyze the characteristics of in-service training of primary-level teachers of public schools located in the Tacna region, according to the report of the National Teacher Survey (ENDO) of 2018. This study was conducted carried out because the dynamics of society affects the educational system, where new demands arise, for which the teacher becomes a key piece in the training of students, since the purpose of education is to train the citizen. The methodology was based on the quantitative approach of simple descriptive design, because it focused on the numerical description of the situation of in-service teacher training. For the sample, 126 primary education teachers from public educational institutions located in the Tacna region were considered. Information collection instruments were not applied, because it was carried out by the Ministry of Education. The results were that 93.7% of the teachers participated in the training programs and more than 60% rated it as "very useful". 34.9% of teachers participated in the trainings and the majority rated it as "satisfied". Only 47.6% received pedagogical support, of which 50% described it as “useful” and 16.7% as “very useful”. Likewise, 60% of teachers affirm that planning and teaching strategies strengthen their performance. 56% of the teachers stated that they aspire to study a doctorate, master's degree or second specialty. This study concludes that teachers participated in most of the training actions, rating them as useful and satisfied.
