Problems that mine workers present in their hands are caused by the repetitive and sustained movements they make during their working day; this leads to shortened and weak muscle fibers causing a gradual decrease in muscle strength, to counteract this problem, an passive static stretching program was applied. Objective: To determine the effect of passive static stretching on the muscle strength of the grip in mining workers of multi-service community enterprises in the Department of Pasco 2019. Material and Method: The study is quasi-experimental in pre-test and post-test design and control group. The sample was made up of 50 miners for each group (experimental and control). A data collection sheet was used to collect information and the instrument used to measure muscle strength was the JAMAR hydraulic dynamometer. The program was applied during one month with a frequency of 6 times per week. Result: The program caused statistically significant differences in the muscle strength of the grip in all three measurements in both the right hand (p=0.02) and the left hand (p=0, 002). While in the control group the strength in both hands did not show a significant difference p>0.05. Conclusion: The effect of passive static stretching on the muscle strength of the hand grip in mining workers of the communal multi-service companies of the department of Pasco turned out to be beneficial, while, for the control group, no changes in muscle strength were evidenced.
