in sterilization centers. This work is justified because it will provide better knowledge of the new evidence found on the disinfection of endoscopes to obtain a total elimination of microorganisms and avoid the transmission of nosocomial diseases. The methodology was evidence-based nursing, during which the following clinical question was formulated and refined using the PIS system: What is the effectiveness of high-level disinfection in endoscopes in a sterilization center? Information was sought in the databases Pub Med, Alicia-Concytec, Porta Regional de la VHL, SCIELO, Epistemonikos and Google School. Ten articles related to the research topic were identified. Gálvez Toro's Guide to Validity and Utility was the starting point to synthesize the evidence, and two articles were selected. Additionally, the CASPE checklist was used to validate these items. It was concluded that the high-level disinfection process carried out on endoscopes is not effective and it is considered that these materials that are intended for biomedical purposes require low temperature sterilization in ethylene oxide or hydrogen peroxide. In addition, the GRADE instrument was used, which has a low level of evidence, as it is an observational study and belongs to a strong recommendation grade because it is a high-quality study.
