The objective of this thesis was to determine the application of compacted earth blocks (BTC) in the construction of earthen houses in the Marcabal Grande population center, La Libertad, 2023. The methodology was applied, explanatory, quantitative, non-experimental and cross-sectional. The population consisted of 36 blocks in total; the sample consisted of 18 adobe blocks and 18 BTC blocks for moisture, absorption and compressive strength tests. The soil used had a moisture content of 8.44%, LL, 23.74%, LP of 16.54% and IP of 7.20%, with a particle size that the No. 200 sieve passed 34.46% of the material, which indicates that it is a coarse particle soil, of the sand type. The BTC and adobe had an average moisture content of 2.95% and 8.82%, respectively, this difference being significant (sig. .000). The absorption of the BTC was 12.16% and that of the adobe had no result. The compressive strength of the BTC was 16.01 Kg/cm2 and that of the adobe was 11.49 Kg/cm2, this difference being significant (sig. .000). The costs per unit of the BTC are S/. 54.40 and those of adobe are S/. 35.65, being this difference significant (sig. .000). It is concluded that the proposal to use BTC to improve the construction of earthen houses in the town of Marcabal Grande, La Libertad, in the year 2023, from a technical perspective, is feasible.
