ABSTRACT The objective of this research was to determine the effect of the hydroalcoholic extract of Persea americana Mill on enzymatic kinetics of transaminases in Mus musculus with induced hepatotoxicity. 24 Mus Musculus specimens, adult males, weighing 25-40 grams, purchased from the National Institute of Health, fed with purine and water ad libitum were used. Hepatotoxicity was induced with paracetamol dose 200mg / kg p.c / 24 h for v.o./7 days. 04 experimental groups were distributed: GC (-) with ad libitum diet / 21 days, GC (+) with 200 mg paracetamol / vo / 21 days, GP_1 treated with paracetamol / 7 days and Persea americana Mill dose 100 mg / kg pc / vo / 14 days, GP_2 treated with paracetamol / 7 days and Persea americana Mill dose 200 mg / kg pc / vo / 14 days. A greater decrease in ALT and AST was found in GP_2 more than in GP_1 (p <0.05), sothere is a significant difference with 95% confidence level, attributing this effect to the presence of secondary metabolites such as flavonoids derived from Quercetol, cineole, tannins and polyphenols, are protectors and regenerators of the liver in hepatitis. It is concluded that the hydroalcoholic extract of Persea americana Mill has a hepatoprotective effect in Mus musculus by decreasing the plasma levels of the ALT and AST transaminase
