ABSTRACT The research aim was to establish the relationship between lifestyles and blood pressure control in hypertensive patients in the district of Trujillo-2024. The methodology of this research was observational and correlational applied to hypertensive patients. The sample consisted of 47 patients who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. In a first home visit, the sociodemographic data of the patient were collected. In a second visit, data on weight, height, waist and hip were collected. After this, a lifestyle questionnaire was administered to each patient. Once completed, blood pressure was taken with a digital upper arm sphygmomanometer. The Medcalc statistical package was used for data analysis. The majority of patients were over 60 years of age, 63,83% were women, 29,79% had higher education, 38,30% had been diagnosed with the disease for more than 10 years, 40,43% were overweight and 52,94% of the men and all the women had waist-hip index values higher than normal, 48,94% of the patients had regular lifestyles, followed by 46,81% good and 4,26% bad. Apparently, no statistically significant relationship was found between lifestyles and sex, age and educational level (p>0,05). Hypertensive patients with a regular lifestyle had less blood pressure control. No statistically significant relationship was found between lifestyle and blood pressure control.
