ABSTRACT This research was conducted on farms Marco Antonio and Santa Sarita, located in the Pueblo Nuevo district, province of Chepen, La Libertad region; in order to determine the effect of dosage extract yacon and yacon extract more probiotic strains on piglets production parameters. 60 piglets were used, randomly divided into three treatments; T0: 0.5 kg of zinc T0 bacitrazina / t of feed, T1: yacon extract and T2, yacon extract treatment more probiotic strains; it were provided orally to piglets in amount of 5 ml; during the first three days of life. Highly significant differences between average weight increases per treatment (p <0.01) were determined. The highest value was obtained by treatment with yacón more probiotic strains (T2) with a value of 5.06 kg, statistically superior to treatment with yacon (T1) with 4.8 kg and this in turn superior to the control (T0) with 4.6 kg. The average consumption of concentrate per treatment was 2.65; 2.74 and 2.75 kg for T0, T1 and T2 respectively, no statistical differences between treatments were calculated (p> 0.05). FCR was 0.58; 0.57 and 0.54 for T0, T1 and T2 respectively with no significant difference (p> 0.05). Mortality rates of piglets per treatment were statistically the same (p> 0.05) in the control (T0) was 2%, while treatment with yacon (T1) and yacon more strains probiotic (T2) were 0%. It was concluded that treatment with probiotic strains more yacón improve the productive characteristics of piglets at weaning.
