The main objective of the research was to evaluate the technical-economic advantages of replacing the JOHN DEERE 670G Motor Grader with a CAT 140K Motor Grader at ETHAN E.I.R.L. Summa Gold SAC 2024. The methodology used was a non-experimental, descriptive design of the applicative type. The sample consisted of the JOHN DEERE 670G motor grader and CAT 140K motor grader in the ETHAN E.I.R.L. contract. The validation of the instruments was carried out by means of the Holti test, and a very high reliability of 0.82 was obtained. In addition, the Wilcoxon nonparametric statistical test was applied to validate the hypothesis, which indicated significant technical and economic improvements with the replacement of motor graders (Z= -2.805 and Sig.= 0.005). The results obtained indicated that the technical and operational specifications of the JOHN DEERE 670G showed a mechanical availability of 65.67%, a power of 185 HP and an average yield of 2749.94 m2/h, with possession costs of S/. 106.81 per hour and operating costs of S/. 214.02 per hour, resulting in a total hourly cost of S/. 320.83. On the other hand, the technical and operational specifications of the CAT 140K revealed a mechanical availability of 90.00%, a power of 190 HP and an output of 3120.6 m2/h, with possession costs of S/. 112.73 per hour, and operating costs of S/. 183.62 per hour, resulting in a total hourly cost of S/. 296.35. Finally, it was concluded that replacing the JOHN DEERE 670G motor grader with the CAT 140K is adequate, since the CAT 140K has a 33.26% and 54.47% higher performance and production, respectively, and lower total hourly costs of S/. 24.47 per hour, which translates into a total difference of S/. 72,940.73 during the study period.
