ABSTRACT The main objective that was set was to identify the main macroeconomic determinants of delinquency according to type of credit in the financial entity Mibanco during the period 2015 - 2019. To achieve this purpose, statistical information on open resources has been collected and processed from both the SBS and the BCRP of delinquencies according to type of credit (medium-sized companies, small companies, micro-companies, consumer and mortgage), and the possible explanatory variables such as the consumer price index, the nominal active rate, the GDP, the indicator of domestic demand, the unemployment rate and the real exchange rate. These variables have been processed using an ordinary least squares model for each of the delinquencies. The results allow us to conclude that in the case of the default rate of medium-sized companies we have found that when the IPC increases by 1%, the default rate is reduced by 1.82%, while when the lending rate increases by 1% with it, the default rate increases by 0.6%. For its part, in terms of delinquency in small companies, when the IPC increases by 1%, this type of delinquency is reduced by 3.04%, while when the active rate increases by 1%, delinquency in small companies decreases by 1.61%. Finally, regarding delinquency in mortgage loans for homes we have been able to conclude that when the IPC increases 1% then delinquency increases by 3.64%, while when the active rate increases by 1% this type of delinquency increases by 0.77%.
