ABSTRACT The District Municipality of Longotea, in coordination with the Regional Government of Freedom, prioritizes the development of the present word in order to improve and increase agricultural production with the provision of water for irrigation through the new channel design Huarac. The Committee of irrigators formally organized, with 35 users according to the pattern which is attached in the annexs. Farmers are interested in improving their production, since agriculture is one of the greatest sources of income. Farmers have committed themselves to plunge and operation and maintenance costs generated by the channel. The area where the work area is characterized by having a limited availability of water for irrigation purposes, as a result of the poor infrastructure of existing irrigation system, which does not allow you to achieve an appropriate exploitation of the agricultural area thus generating low productivity, population migration and socio-economic backwardness of the area of influence of the project. The Channel Huarac captures their waters of the river Pusac. Currently, the area has vegetation (trees) on both sides, so the slopes offer stability. This thesis comprises the new design of the irrigation canal, to capture a flow of 0,125 m3/s. At the same time, the design of the works of art, to ensure the smooth operation of the canal to irrigate a total of 67.25 hectares of agricultural land. The design of the channel is composed of the next way: Channel design of driving with a total length of 5,208.00 ml of PVC pipes with diameters variables. Design of an intake of reinforced concrete with a length of 27.6 m and a width of 12.00 m and a grit chamber of reinforced concrete of 13.0 x 2.3 x 1.2 m. Works of Art (With the design of 35 side jacks, 10 accessory boxes, 1 aqueduct and 2 canoes).
