The present study entitled The Reading Club: “I choose” in the reading comprehension of the students of the EI N ° 80002 Antonio Torres Araujo - 2019, is developed with the general objective of Determining how the “Reading Club” influences the learning of reading comprehension in 1st grade students of IE No. 80002 “Antonio Torres Araujo”. The study was developed with a deductive methodology, applied typology, of quasi-experimental design and cross-sectional, explanatory level, involving a sample of 120 students; thus 60 students belong to the experimental group (Section “A” and section “B”) and the other 60 students belong to the control group (Section “C” and section “D”). In this way, as results, statistically significant differences were obtained in the students belonging to the experimental group, between before and after the establishment of the intervention program (t = -12.85; P value = .001), significant differences were also found for the post-test, between the students belonging to the experimental group and the control group (t = 15.75; P value = .001). Therefore, it is concluded that the Reading Club: "I choose" significantly influences reading comprehension in 1st grade students of the I.E. No. 80002 "Antonio Torres Araujo".
