ABSTRACT The general objective of this investigation was to determine whether the principle of disclosure of administrative decisions affects the administrative sanction procedure. An applied methodology was used, with a quantitative approach and a nonexperimental cross- sectional design, in which 324 lawyers specializing in administrative law from the city of Trujillo were sampled, to which two duly validated questionnaires were applied in order to obtain the results. It is concluded that the principle of openness of administrative decisions has a direct and significant impact on the administrative sanction procedure, because it allows better dissemination and access to information, as well as the materialization of immediate and immediate publicity, since there is a direct and significant elationship between the principle of disclosure of administrative rulings and the administrative sanctioning procedure with a Rho de Spearman of 0.755, equivalent to a high and positive correlation, with significance p = 0.000 less than 1% (p < 0.01).
