ABSTRACT The Fernández I archaeological site located in Tumbes in Canoas de Punta Sal, about 24 km to the west following the hydrographic basin of the same name, is one of the archaeological sites with important architectural evidence. The lack of research in the Tumbes region makes it difficult to give their evidence a cultural identity; That is why this thesis is the first study carried out which seeks to carry out an architectural analysis proposing an architectural approach to the entire site. The methodological synthesis used is determined by the superficial prospecting in addition to the bibliographic and planimetric analysis carried out as part of the study of the settlement pattern present in the site. Double-row stone walls were identified with two types of geometric patterns defined as rectangular and quadrangular, as well as other cultural components that precede the close relationship between man and the environment as adaptability components of one of the pre-Hispanic societies of the north coast of the Peru during the intermediate and late horizon (1200 AD-1532 AD).
