ABSTRACT The channel in study that is part of the irrigation system, is built on land, with the passage of time has been expanding its irrigation coverage, seeing the volume of water reduced throughout the route, as a consequence of infiltration, being more Critical supply of the areas that are downstream, who receive poorly the requested flow, has a total length of 1,680 km. With the project called: “IMPROVEMENT OF 1.680 KM OF THE SAN SEBASTIAN CHANNEL IRRIGATION SYSTEM IN THE LOCALITY OF LULICHUCO CAJABAMBA DISTRICT, CAJABAMBA REGION CAJAMARCA REGION", aims to improve water service for irrigation; 175 kg / cm2 simple trapezoidal lining and trapezoidal section will be improved, as well as the design of sidewalks, inclined falls, vehicular bridges, pedestrian bridges, detents, splitter, overflows, surface drainage and drainage. The channel wall thickness will be 0.065 m, baseless 0.65 m, height 1.45 m, slope 1.5. In a margin of the channel is provided the road of surveillance of 0.10 m of thickness of affirmed and 1.0 meters of width. Towards the other margin the maintenance road of 0.10 m of thickness of affirmed and 4 meters of width. Inside the section to be covered 101 m will be covered, rectangular section, concrete 210 Kg / cm2, as it crosses the populated center. The project will benefit 401 users and the area under irrigation will be 246.77 Has.
