ABSTRACT The work shows a negative effect of the COVID 19 pandemic with respect to traditional in Peru in the years 2016 to 2022. Evidence extrated from an econometric panel data model with statistical information from the BCRP and MINSA. In a first stage it was found that the effect of the COVID 19 pandemic has no effect (B1= 0.003) and is not significant (t= 0.10). Mainly because it had not yet become a determinant or explanatory variable in the behavior of traditional exports in Perú from 2016 to 2019. In a second stage, it was found that the effect of the COVID 19 pandemic in negative, although said effect has Little magnitude (-0.03) but it has statistical significance (t=2.32) in traditional exports in Peru in the years 2019 to 2022. With this, we come to the conclusion that production from one sector to another is very different, this means that most of the GDP comes from a few sectors, and that when there is a pandemic such as COVID 19, it does not affect the sector. exporter as if it would affect the tourism and hotel sector.
