The present research work had as objective to determine how the Program of Communicative Strategies ‘Job and Lazaro’ influences the sensitization process in patients of the Pain Therapy and Palliative Care Unit of the Victor Lazarte Echegaray Hospital about the Bioethical Principle of Autonomy. The type of research is applied and the design used is pre-experimental. The sample consisted of 8 non-oncological patients who were treated during the period May 2019 - November 2021. The Likert-scale Survey Test technique was used to obtain the results, and the discussion techniques were used to supplement the results such as: 1) CAP survey, applied to patients to find out what was the most optimal dissemination strategy that generated the greatest impact on the sample; and 2) an interview directed to the multidisciplinary team of the Pain Therapy and Palliative Care Unit, to determine the relationship between the Palliative Care and the Bioethical Principle of Autonomy; and this way, to apply the most appropriate communicative strategies. Statistically significant influence was found between the ‘Job and Lazaro’ Communication Strategies Program and the Bioethical Principle of Autonomy. (P= 0,000 < α=0.05). The results also showed that the communication strategies applied influenced the patients in the Unit as follows: 50% of the sample valued the talk as the communicative strategy with the greatest impact because it sensitized them most and made them aware of the Bioethical Principle of Autonomy applied to Palliative Care and Pain Therapy. The video was valued in the second order with a percentage of 25% and the Instagram and Brochure in the third order, with a percentage of 12.5% each. It was demonstrated that the ‘Job and Lazaro’ Communicative Strategies Program influenced significantly the sensitization of the Bioethical Principle of Autonomy in patients of the Pain and Palliative Care Therapy Unit of the Victor Lazarte Echegaray Hospital.
