This study aims to reduce blasting costs by applying HA55G in phase 008 of the Summa Gold Corporation mine. The methodology used was applicative – quantitative and pre-experimental design; Likewise, the sample was composed of the seven shots made in phase 008 of the Summa Gold mine, the observation guide instrument was used. The implementation of the gasified heavy Anfo 55 in blasting presents an effective strategy to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency, adapting to various terrain conditions and specific needs of each project. Power factor is a crucial parameter in the evaluation of the efficiency of explosives in mining applications. In this case, two types of explosives, gasified heavy anfo 73 and gasified heavy anfo 55, are compared with power factors 0.23 and 0. .24 on average respectively, indicate and show that the P80 fragmentation where the HA-73G explosive mixture has an average of 2.53 inches in terms of clearance while the HA-55G mixture has a value of 3.28 inches, shows an increase of 0.75 inches, while in the mineral the explosive mixture HA73G has an average of 2.20 inches compared to the mixture HA-55G which has a value of 3.40 inches, it shows an increase of 1.2 inches. On the other hand, the costs shown when using the explosive mixture HA-73G and HA_55G show a considerable decrease when using HA_55G. Concluding that by using the HA_55G mixture it reduces blasting costs with a saving of $3.9/tal compared to HA_73G.
