ABSTRACT The following test, called "Effect of two volumes of application of nuclear polyhedrosis virus in the control of Elasmopalpus lignosellus Zeller in Asparagus officinalis L. hybrid" UC-157-F1 "in Virú, La Libertad", was carried out in the Compositán farm, belonging to the company Danper SAC, of the district of Huancaquito Alto, province of Virú, department of La Libertad. The execution of the trial was from March 2018 to June 2018. The student T test was carried out (hypothesis test for means); being the T1 (absolute control), T2 (vol of 1000 l / ha), T3 (vol of 2000 l / ha), these last two being worked with the virus of the polidriosis nuclear to the same dose of 1.25 l / hás The objective of the present trial was to evaluate the effect of two volumes of application of nuclear polyhedrosis virus (VPN) in the control of Elasmpalpus lignosellus Zeller in Asparagus officinalis L. hybrid "UC-157-F1" in Virú, La Libertad. The results showed that there were significant differences in the control of two volumes of application of nuclear polyhedrosis virus (VPN) with respect to the absolute control, which occurred in the smallest number of live larvae and the lowest average number of perforated stems , highlighting the treatment T3 (2000 liters of volume of application of VPN) that produced an average of 4.4 live larvae to 0 live larvae per meter and 2.5 stems drilled to 2.9 stems drilled per linear meter after having elapsed 24 days of the application of the treatments. The treatment T3 produced the lowest number of larvae with respect to the threshold of economic damage (0.5 larvae per linear meter per meter) when obtaining 0 larvae of Elasmopalpus lignosellus, surpassing the treatments T1 and T2 that produced a value of 0.07 larvae per Linear meter after 24 days of application.
